Every year, Special Collections & University Archives staff work together to create relevant and interesting exhibits on topics that are of interest to the University, the community, and to scholars.
This exhibition is inspired by the uprising in 2020 and will explore the long history of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion at the University of Maryland, College Park. The exhibition will center student activism and social movements of historically marginalized communities and their fight for civil rights (African American students, LGBTQ community, Latinx, Asian American students, women's rights, and the undocumented student community).
Curator: Lae'l Hughes-Watkins
Exhibition research assistants: Keondra Freemyn, Maureen Jones, Selena St. Andre
Graphic Design: Jennifer Paul
With help from: Laura Cleary, Scotty Beland, Digitization Center staff, EPI Colorspace, and community members.
